Displayed in the National Museum of Oman in Muscat, this niche was studied, drawn, and modeled to scale (1:25). In these two examples both techniques of negative laser etching and a clay imprint, a laser etching of museum board to represent the intricate relief of mihrab.
bait al maqham
This exhibition is intended to display research and assembly techniques used in constructing the model of Bait Al Maqham. It was finally presented to The Ministry of Heritage and Culture of Oman and the public at large.

This example shows both techniques of laser etching and manual carving of museum board material to exacting measurements.

From concept to final renderings, students have re-imagined the interior space of the Children’s Science Museum in Muscat, Oman. Besides taking into consideration the lighting design and materials, design proposals took into consideration circulation and design for the new and updated exhibits.
VILA SAVOYA SCALE MODEL
Model is constructed in 1:50 scale and reproduces a modern masterpiece, Villa Savoya. Students had researched the historic context, structural design, and construction materials, which were reproduced using museum board and clear acrylic.
3D PROTOTYPING AND SCANNING
Recent research focuses on modeling and prototyping using 3D printers. Example is a 3D printer accessory that provides a support during the scanning process.
SULTANATES EXPO AT AL JENADRIYAH CULTURE FESTIVAl
Concept design defines a space of cultural exchange and represents Omans best in both tangible and intangible heritage. Annual festival in Al Jenadriyah offers visitors to experience the art, foods, handcrafted products, and dance performances within a 1.500 m2 space.
